Kyiv under siege: Deadly drone raid claims three lives
Three people, including a 5-year-old child and his father, were killed overnight from Saturday to Sunday as a result of a massive Russian drone raid on Kyiv, the city's military administration reported. Initially, two fatalities had been reported.
Currently, it is confirmed that "three people have died, including a 5-year-old child. Another 10 were injured. Among the deceased are a father and his young daughter. The youngest injured person is only 11 months old. We extend our condolences to the families and friends of the victims. We wish the injured a speedy recovery," read a statement from the Ukrainian capital authorities, published on Telegram.
Russian drones attacked six districts of Kyiv, and in these areas, debris from the shot-down machines also fell.
"A powerful attack of enemy drones on Kyiv," was reported earlier on Telegram by the mayor of the Ukrainian capital, Vitaliy Klitschko. "Emergency services were dispatched to several districts of the city where fires were reported," he added.
Russia intensifies attacks
Since Thursday evening, Russia has been conducting large-scale attacks on Ukraine, using 214 drones. This is one of the largest attacks in terms of the number of drones used by the Russians during the war. Most of the drones did not reach their targets.

114 Shahed-type drones were shot down, along with other types in the south, north, and centre of the country. Additionally, 81 drones lost communication, which did not cause negative effects.
