Putin and Bin Salman discuss 30‑day Ukraine truce initiative
Vladimir Putin had a phone conversation with Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. It was there on Tuesday where negotiations between the USA and Ukraine took place, which concluded with Kyiv accepting Washington's proposal for a 30-day truce. Now the ball is in Moscow's court.
The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, spoke with Vladimir Putin by phone about efforts to end the crisis in Ukraine, emphasizing the desire to support "all initiatives" to facilitate dialogue, reported the official Saudi Press Agency SPA after the conversation.
"During the call, the two leaders discussed ongoing cooperation between their countries and ways to enhance it. They also discussed efforts to resolve the Ukrainian crisis, with HRH the Crown Prince reaffirming the Kingdom’s commitment to facilitating dialogue and supporting all initiatives aimed at achieving a political resolution," noted the agency.

The statement mentioned that the Russian leader thanked the Crown Prince for his "constructive efforts" in this direction.
Let's recall that it was in Saudi Arabia where talks between the US and Ukrainian delegations took place. During these negotiations, Ukraine agreed to a full ceasefire for 30 days after more than eight hours of closed-door discussions with US representatives.
