Putin-Trump phone call hangs in balance amid ceasefire talks
The Kremlin has not yet set a date for a phone conversation between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, according to Putin's advisor, Yuri Ushakov. He mentioned that he does not anticipate such a conversation happening on Thursday.
President Donald Trump stated on Tuesday that he might speak with Putin this week. He added that he hopes a permanent ceasefire will be negotiated in the coming days.
It's worth noting that on Tuesday, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the Ukrainian side agreed to the American proposal for an immediate 30-day ceasefire, and the United States announced the resumption of halted military aid to the country.
