Putin's forces target Ukrainian energy infrastructure overnight
During the night, Putin's army once again targeted Ukraine, focusing on Ukrainian energy infrastructure with Russian missiles and drones. Additionally, Russian long-range Tu-95 bombers were deployed. For several hours, an air raid alert was active throughout Ukraine.
Ukraine's Minister of Energy, Herman Halushchenko, reported that the primary targets were energy and gas infrastructure in various parts of the country.
The Russians used drones and Kalibr missiles in the attack. "Russia is trying to harm ordinary Ukrainians by targeting power plants and gas facilities. They are determined to leave us without electricity and heat, aiming to cause as much damage as possible to ordinary citizens," Halushchenko emphasized.
Meanwhile, the authorities in Kharkiv reported that a "civilian infrastructure object" was struck in the city. Five people were injured.
"A woman was rescued from the rubble—she is alive and receiving medical care. The search and rescue operation continues. A fire broke out at the impact site. A nearby residential building was also damaged. All residents have been evacuated," Kharkiv's mayor wrote on Telegram.
Meanwhile, in the Ternopil region, a "critical industrial facility" was attacked. As a result, it was reported that "there may be restrictions in gas supply".
Russia attacks again: restless night in Ukraine
The Ukrainian army reported missile launches from Russian ships in the Black Sea and the takeoff of a group of long-range Tu-95 bombers from Olenya airport in Russia's Murmansk region.
Moreover, warnings were issued about missiles heading towards the Vinnytsia, Khmelnitsky, Ternopil, Chernivtsi, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. Simultaneously, Russian drones were active over Ukraine, and a bomb alert was announced nationwide.
