Donald Trump, the President of the USA, announced on his social media platform Truth Social that he intends to continue efforts to end the war. He emphasized that the coming week will be crucial for achieving peace. Trump highlighted that his actions aim to save hundreds of thousands of lives and create a new, better world.

"A potentially great day for Russia and Ukraine! Think of the hundreds of thousands of lives that will be saved as this never ending "bloodbath" hopefully comes to an end," wrote Donald Trump.

"It will be a whole new, and much better, world. I will continue to work with both sides to make sure that it happens. The USA wants to focus, instead, on Rebuilding and Trade. A big week upoming," stated the President of the USA.

Peace Talks

President of Russia Vladimir Putin proposed to Ukraine the resumption of direct peace talks without preconditions. The meeting is set for May 15 in Istanbul. Putin emphasized that the aim of the negotiations is to eliminate the root causes of the conflict and restore lasting peace.

Meanwhile, Ukraine, supported by allies from Europe and the USA, agreed to a full and unconditional 30-day ceasefire.

In case of any agreement violations, Russia will face additional massive and coordinated sanctions. Representatives of the "coalition of the willing" met in Kyiv to discuss the details of this agreement.
