Trump dismisses war plans with China, Musk's role denied

According to information reported on Thursday by "The New York Times," the Pentagon was supposed to inform Elon Musk on Friday about the U.S. military's plan regarding a potential war with China.

Both Trump and U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth dismissed the New York Times report regarding Elon Musk. During the conference, the U.S. president further criticized the article, calling it untrue and equating the publication’s credibility to that of CNN, which he has frequently accused of misinformation.

"If it comes to war, we are prepared"

During Friday's conference, Donald Trump, when asked by journalists, commented on these reports. - We don't want to have a potential war with China, but I can tell you, if we did, we're very well equipped to handle it - he stated initially.

Shortly after, referring to Elon Musk, he announced that he would not want to share such information with him.

- You certainly wouldn't show this to a businessman who helps us so much - said the U.S. president, assessing that Musk "is a great patriot."

- He's paying a big price for helping us cut costs, and he's doing a great job. He also noted that "Elon has businesses in China and he would be susceptible perhaps to that."
