"President Putin of Russia doesn’t want to have a Cease Fire Agreement with Ukraine, but rather wants to meet on Thursday, in Turkey, to negotiate a possible end to the BLOODBATH. Ukraine should agree to this, IMMEDIATELY. At least they will be able to determine whether or not a deal is possible, and if it is not, European leaders, and the U.S., will know where everything stands, and can proceed accordingly!" - wrote U.S. President Donald Trump.

He added: " I’m starting to doubt that Ukraine will make a deal with Putin, who’s too busy celebrating the Victory of World War ll, which could not have been won (not even close!) without the United States of America. HAVE THE MEETING, NOW!!!"

Ukraine proposes a ceasefire

On Saturday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that a full and unconditional ceasefire will come into effect from Monday.

In response to his call, during the night from Saturday to Sunday, the Russian dictator held a press conference at the Kremlin and proposed "direct talks" with Kyiv in Istanbul on Thursday, May 15.

These events were addressed by U.S. President Donald Trump, who announced an intensification of efforts for peace between Russia and Ukraine. "A big week is coming" – he announced on Truth Social, emphasizing the importance of the upcoming peace talks.

Kremlin refuses. Putin wants to continue fighting

However, since Sunday morning, the Kremlin has been conducting a disinformation operation. Moscow does not agree to a ceasefire first and then talks.

Putin made it clear: first talks about the causes of the conflict, only then discussion of a ceasefire – emphasized Maria Zakharova, spokeswoman for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
