Historic attack. HUR releases statement
The attack was executed by soldiers of the HUR special unit Group 13, employing a missile from the Magura unmanned maritime platform. "The multi-role fighter jet of the Russian aggressor, estimated to be worth around £41 million, caught fire in the air and eventually fell into the sea," it was reported.
"The successful strike on the enemy combat aircraft took place in the waters near the port in the city of Novorossiysk, where the Muscovites are hiding the remnants of their Black Sea Fleet," added HUR.
It is worth noting that in 2024, thanks to the Magura V5 rocket naval drone, Ukrainian military intelligence destroyed an aerial target for the first time in the world - two Russian Mi-8 helicopters.
