What are Ukraine's proposals?
The US special envoy to Ukraine, Gen. Keith Kellogg, reported that Ukraine has presented its peace proposals to the United States. We now await a response from Russia.
Kellogg stated that once both sides present their plans, the USA will be able to compare them and organise another meeting dedicated to peace talks. He explained on Fox News that although there were plans to hold the talks in the Vatican, this was not possible because the Russian side refused to participate at that location.
Will Geneva be the location for talks?
According to Gen. Kellogg, the next meeting might take place in Geneva, where leaders from the USA, Ukraine, and Russia could work out an agreement and sign a document ending the war.
Gen. Kellogg emphasised that Donald Trump is "the only person" capable of negotiating peace in Ukraine. He also highlighted the need for continued pressure on the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, to encourage him to come to the negotiating table.
