Drone attack ignites fire at Russian oil depot amid tensions
An oil depot in Kropotkin, in the Krasnodar region of Russia, caught fire following a drone attack. There is no official information regarding who is responsible for the attack.
After 10 PM Greenwich Mean Time on Tuesday, reports of an attack on the oil depot in the city of Kropotkin emerged. At least three explosions occurred.
A fire broke out at the drone crash site, covering an area of approximately 20 square metres. The pipeline between the tanks has been damaged. The fire was given a fourth level of difficulty rating. A team of 105 people and 45 units of equipment are working on-site.
Thirty employees were evacuated from the location, and the company's operations have been suspended.
Ukrainian Telegram channels report that the depot serves as a transshipment station for oil exports in the Russian Federation.
Russia attacked after the talks
Shortly after the phone conversation between Trump and Putin ended, an alert was announced in Kyiv and the Kyiv region due to a massive attack by Russian Shahed-type strike drones.
The alarm in Kyiv was announced after 5 PM Greenwich Mean Time, and soon explosions and the sounds of anti-aircraft gunfire could be heard. More explosions and bursts of heavy machine gun fire, used to shoot down the drones, were heard after 8 PM. Many hours later, the alarms persisted. In many regions of Ukraine, anti-aircraft defences were in operation.
