Boiled bundt cake doesn't deflate, rises magnificently, and is as light as a cloud. You don’t need to preheat the oven, but it does require a special sealed baking pan. It’s worth purchasing because this cake will become a staple in your recipe collection, not just for Easter. You’ll soon be saying goodbye to other bundt cake recipes.

Boiled Easter bundt cake

The Easter bundt cake is a traditional dessert that graces many holiday tables. In my home, this boiled version is a must-have. It stays fresh for ages, is incredibly fluffy and moist, consistently receives compliments, and vanishes to the last crumb. It's as light as a feather and turns out wonderfully even for those who've never made a bundt cake before.

The taste of the boiled bundt cake is similar to the traditional version, but more intense and rich. It's always served with a glaze. You can use milk, white, or dark chocolate. It’s worth adding decorative sprinkles or candy eggs to give it a festive touch.

Ingredients:

  • 6 eggs
  • 200g of sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 225g of butter
  • 125g of plain flour
  • 160g of potato starch
  • 2 tablespoons of milk
  • Zest from 1 lemon
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder

Chocolate glaze:

  • 150ml of double cream
  • 140g of white chocolate

Preparation method:

  1. Separate the egg whites from the yolks and beat the whites until stiff peaks form.
  2. Mix the yolks with the sugar and vanilla sugar.
  3. Gradually add melted butter and milk to the yolks while continuously mixing.
  4. Add sifted flour, starch, and baking powder. Stir until combined.
  5. Add the beaten egg whites and gently fold with a whisk until the mixtures are combined. At the end of mixing, also add the lemon zest.
  6. Grease the bundt cake form and sprinkle it with semolina or bread crumbs.
  7. Evenly pour in the prepared mixture and close the form.
  8. Place in a tall pot with boiling water and cook for about 1.5 hours. You can weigh down the form with a lid.
  9. Carefully remove the form from the pot and take off the lid.
  10. Once it cools down, take the cake out of the form.
  11. Decorate with chocolate melted in cream.

The delicious and delicate boiled bundt cake is now ready. Enjoy!
