Eminem has released a new album, "Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)", symbolically ending the era of his controversial alter ego. An interview generated using artificial intelligence (AI) provided not only a farewell but also many shocking secrets.

Marshall Mathers, also known as Eminem, one of the most iconic rappers in music history, has surprised his fans again. His latest album, "Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)", is a musical funeral ceremony for his alter ego, Slim Shady. The interview, created with the help of AI technology, depicts an interaction between Eminem and a younger version of himself. The result? Plenty of emotions and surprising revelations.

Eminem talks to Slim Shady in AI-generated interview

On Tuesday, Complex published a 14-minute, scheduled interview in which Eminem confronts a younger, blond version of himself. The interview was created by the company Metaphysics, which previously collaborated on his "Houdini" music video. Sitting opposite each other, the mature Eminem tries to reach his wild alter ego, Slim Shady.

AI technology enabled the recreation of young Shady's movements using face-swap, adding credibility to the entire scene. During the conversation, the two Eminems argue about their lyrical goals, with Eminem criticising Shady for attacks on Ja Rule, Moby, Fred Durst, and Christina Aguilera. At the same time, the younger version accuses the older one of lacking courage.

The album "Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)" targetted well-known figures like Caitlyn Jenner and Christopher Reeve, contributing to its rapid success and reaching number one on the charts. However, in the conversation with AI Shady, Eminem reprimands his alter ego for distasteful jokes and discrimination, emphasising that such behaviours are no longer acceptable today.

At one point, AI Shady takes out a small bottle of pills and starts swallowing them like candy, washing them down with beer. This prompts a discussion about the album "Relapse" and its shocking content, while the real Eminem emphasises his 16 years of sobriety and cutting ties with past addictions.

Eminem admits that MGK had an affair with his mother

The end of the interview brings the most emotions. Mention of Drake's disses on Rick Ross from the song "Family Matters" and a reference to the effects of Ozempic sets the backdrop for the biggest shock: Eminem admits that MGK had an affair with his mother, Debbie Nelson. Slim Shady uses this fact to attack Eminem, who confirms it to his younger alter ego, indicating that their conflict has moved from the street to the bedroom.

Eminem ends the interview by admitting that the character of Slim Shady was created out of desperation while in the bathroom. Now, in a symbolic manner, he decides to finally say goodbye to his alter ego by "flushing it down the toilet." This is not only the end of an era in his career but also a new chapter for the rapper, who remains true to his values and evolves with the times.
