Kremlin confirms end of attack pause as US mulls peace exit

— The month has indeed passed, but at the present time there have been no other instructions from the supreme commander-in-chief, President Putin — said Peskov.

On 17th March, Donald Trump proposed that the parties to the conflict refrain from attacks on energy infrastructure for 30 days. Both Putin and Zelensky agreed to this proposal.

Peskov on peace negotiations: progressing slowly

When asked about talks regarding a ceasefire in Ukraine, Peskov admitted that they are progressing slowly. — Contacts are quite complicated, because, naturally, the topic is not an easy one — said Peskov, when asked by TASS about peace negotiations.

On Friday, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the USA is ready to give up efforts to achieve peace between Russia and Ukraine.

— It’s not our war. We didn’t start it. The United States has been helping Ukraine for the past three years and we want it to end, but it’s not our war — said U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio at Paris' Le Bourget airport.

He simultaneously assured that if both sides show readiness to make peace, talks will continue.
