North Korean troops bolster Russian military in Ukraine conflict
The Ukrainian Defence Minister, Rustem Umierov, has confirmed the participation of North Korean troops in Russian attacks on Ukraine. He met with South Korean leaders to discuss regional security threats.

During his visit to Seoul, the Ukrainian Defence Minister, Rustem Umierov, confirmed reports of North Korean soldiers' involvement in Russian military operations in Ukraine.
He emphasised that North Korean troops do not only supply equipment and personnel but also actively support attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure. He noted that their combat experience could pose a threat to South Korea.
Umierov met with the President of South Korea, the Defence Minister, and the head of the National Security Office in Seoul.
Ukraine warns of threat, seeks cooperation with South Korea
Both delegations discussed joint actions to enhance security and stability in the region. "We believe that our arguments about the need to increase cooperation between Ukraine and the Republic of Korea will lead to a tangible strengthening of security for our peoples and regions," emphasised Umierov.
The meeting in Seoul aimed to bolster cooperation between Ukraine and South Korea amid growing threats from North Korea. The Ukrainian Defence Minister expressed hope for enhancing regional security through joint actions.
Russians massively attack Ukraine's energy infrastructure
Just before the start of the winter season, the Russians intensified attacks on Ukrainian fuel and energy sector facilities. In the past 24 hours alone, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that there have been massive attacks on electrical substations in various regions of Ukraine.
The statement stressed that recently Russian forces have been using significantly larger numbers of missiles and drones in their attacks, often exceeding the capabilities of air defence systems.
