Putin threatens the West with the deployment of deadly weapons. He aims to deter the USA and Germany from carrying out their plans. German authorities are already responding to these threats.

In light of Russia's threats concerning Germany's plans to station long-range weapons, a German Ministry of the Interior representative emphasized to the media the Berlin government's determination to stay on course.

As Tagesschau quoted, a spokesperson for the German Ministry of the Interior noted, "We will not be intimidated by such statements." This statement highlights Germany's stance against Moscow's intimidating tone.

This information appears against the backdrop of developments following the NATO summit, which took place in Washington, DC. During this event, the governments of the USA and Germany announced that the Americans plan to begin deploying advanced long-range missile systems in Germany, including SM-6 hypersonic missiles and Tomahawk missiles, starting in 2026.

Putin threatens the West

Vladimir Putin spoke on the matter on Sunday during the celebration of Navy Day in St. Petersburg. His warning to the United States concerns the potential consequences of deploying new missile systems in Germany.

Putin blamed the USA for causing a missile crisis reminiscent of the Cold War era. In his view, the deployment of these systems in Germany would enable key targets in Russia to be reached in just ten minutes, posing a threat to the Russian state, military, and key industrial infrastructure points. In response, Putin announced that Russia would react to these actions.
