According to police reports, the driver of the luxury sports car was travelling from Melchiorshausen towards Ristedt. On a curve, possibly due to excessive speed, he lost control of the vehicle. The Porsche veered off the road, cut through several road signs, and struck the tree with significant impact.

"Bild" reports that the car immediately caught fire because of the collision. The force of the impact was so great that parts of the vehicle, including one of the front wheels, were hurled as far as 220 yards onto a nearby field.

The two young men lost their lives in the fire that broke out inside the vehicle. According to Thomas Gissing, the police spokesperson in Diepholz, the car burst into flames immediately upon colliding with the tree, as reported by the German tabloid.

Initially, it was unclear who the passengers were. Their identities were difficult to determine due to the severity of the injuries. Only later was it confirmed that the car contained two 17-year-olds.

According to current findings, there were no direct witnesses to the event. However, a driver reported passing a Porsche at high speed just before the accident occurred.

The firefighters who arrived at the scene immediately began extinguishing the fire, but it was already too late for a rescue.

According to Torben Schmidt from the Syke fire department, it appears that the 17-year-olds were unable to escape the vehicle. Once the flames were extinguished, the emergency team found the bodies of two victims inside.
