UK to supply Ukraine with 100,000 drones by 2026
The British government has just announced that by April 2026, it will provide Ukraine with 100,000 drones. This will mean a tenfold increase in this type of support from London for the Ukrainian military.
Reuters reports that the UK government assumes that unmanned aerial vehicles have changed the way wars are conducted.
The delivery of thousands of drones, worth €412 million, is part of a broader initiative by the British military to support Ukraine, valued at €5.3 billion.
The British government also announced in a statement that it has completed the delivery of 140,000 artillery shells to Ukraine and will spend an additional €291 million this year on training Ukrainian soldiers.
