Ukrainian forces penetrate deep into Russia: Kursk in crisis

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' pressure on the Kursk region continues. A video surfaced online showing the famous "Baba Yaga" drone attacking fortifications built by the Russians. Vladimir Putin's army was unprepared for a massive enemy attack, and now they don't know how to handle the increasingly worsening situation.

Although some experts believe the Russian-Ukrainian conflict is nearing its end, the decisions of both countries do not indicate this. Under the leadership of Volodymyr Zelensky, the Ukrainians smoothly crossed the border with the Russian Federation and took control of the town of Sudzha in the Kursk region.

The sluggishness of the Russian army led to the opponent occupying the gas measurement station located in that region, although supplies to Europe were not interrupted.

The enemy's pressure is increasing daily. Anton Gerashchenko (former Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine) shared a video on platform X showing a drone attack on forts in a critical region.

Falling missiles hit one spot, causing further explosions, which were recorded in black and white by the drone-mounted camera. "Baba Yaga" is one of the most intriguing pieces of equipment at the disposal of our eastern neighbours.

The deadly drone is the largest in Ukraine's fleet. It can carry up to six grenades, which, in addition to eliminating fortifications, can easily destroy armoured vehicles and also damage tanks.

Previously, the machine was most commonly used in the Kharkiv region. It also has drawbacks — due to its large weight and dimensions, it is an easier target than smaller drones (including kamikaze drones).

The presence of the "Baba Yaga" during the actions observed by the whole world in Russia may indicate that the Ukrainians do not intend to stop at occupying only the border territory.

According to a US think tank (Institute for the Study of War), Zelensky's forces managed to penetrate even 35 kilometres deep into Russia. The analysis shows that they are moving surprisingly quickly. The opponent's response has so far not been effective.
