The Mayor of Bilopilla, Yuriy Zarko, emphasised that the situation is very difficult. "Dozens of bombs have fallen on the city. There were moments when three bombs exploded simultaneously within ten minutes," he said in an interview with the Polish Press Agency. Despite the danger, Zarko remains in the city, expressing gratitude to Poland for its support.

Bilopilla has a rich history, associated with, among others, Kazimir Malevich, a Ukrainian avant-garde artist of Polish descent. The city features a mural commemorating the artist, along with a copy of his work "White Cross on Grey Background".

The situation in Bilopilla and Vorozhba remains tense. Local authorities are appealing for international help and support to ensure the safety of residents and help them return to normal life.
