There are many dangers in our environment, so it is always worth being vigilant and taking care of your safety. Did you know that your phone can help you with this task? It has a feature that is worth enabling for your own protection.

Modern realities require us to be cautious and careful, especially considering the numerous dangers lurking around every corner. Few realise that mobile phones have functions that can help with this.

One of these functions is automatic sending of an emergency SMS to a trusted person. It is particularly useful during meetings with new people. Check if your phone offers this option, as it can save you in an emergency situation.

This function allows automatic sending of an emergency message to a designated person. It is a standard in most iPhones. To learn how to activate it, visit the @smartspotcompl account on TikTok, where the configuration process is explained step by step.

How to enable the function on your phone?

Remember, this functionality aims to increase your safety. The instructions are simple: go to the SMS messaging app, select a trusted person, and click the plus button next to them. Then, find the "let them know” function on your phone.

After selecting it, you can edit the settings so that the emergency message is sent after a specified time. For example, when planning a meeting with a new person, set a notification to be sent after two hours.

If you do not confirm that everything is okay after receiving the message and an additional 15 minutes have passed, an SMS with your location will automatically be sent to the chosen person. Useful, isn't it? Thanks to this function, you can significantly increase your safety.

You can also share your location with a trusted person so that they can check where you are at any time.
