Spice up your morning: Ginger and cinnamon's coffee benefits

There are people who love the taste of black and bitter coffee. However, most people prefer to slightly modify its taste to soften the characteristic bitterness. Every addition has a specific effect on the body. Want to improve concentration and metabolism at the same time? Mix two spices.

The perfect addition to your morning cup of coffee is ginger and cinnamon. These two popular spices can work wonders. Coffee with them not only tastes great but also positively affects blood circulation and the digestive system. Such coffee is also recommended for people with type 2 diabetes and insulin resistance because it helps regulate blood sugar levels. Of course, much depends on other additives and the meal that took place before the cup of the "drink of the gods."

Drink only black coffee before breakfast

Healthy people can drink coffee on an empty stomach to awaken the body and mind, and the addition of cinnamon and ginger will make you feel the effects of caffeine more strongly. Both spices affect the digestive system—they improve metabolism and increase the absorption of nutrients from other consumed products. If you're on a weight-loss diet, such coffee at the start of the day will reduce appetite and help control calories.

However, before breakfast, we should not drink sweet coffee due to the risk of a rapid increase in blood glucose levels. After eating breakfast, sugar is released more slowly, so insulin can keep up with it.

What is the healthiest coffee?

Dietitians also emphasize the way coffee is brewed. It turns out that the healthiest coffee is brewed through a paper filter that doesn't let tarry substances through. Dr. Bartek Kulczyński also points out the type of roasting—light beans contain more antioxidants, which can reduce the risk of cancer.

Coffee with ginger and cinnamon for boosting immunity

Changing weather, fatigue, and stress—all these factors lower our immunity. The body demands rest, and we can't always allow ourselves that. In such moments, coffee with ginger and cinnamon can be a huge support. Just add 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon and 1/4 teaspoon of grated ginger root to your coffee every day to feel a significant difference.

Both ginger and cinnamon are known for their anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Ginger helps alleviate cold and flu symptoms, and cinnamon provides additional support in maintaining proper blood sugar levels.

When can you expect results?

The key to success is regularity, and unfortunately, the measurable effects do not appear immediately. You will experience real improvements in well-being, increased immunity, and improved digestive system function after 4-8 weeks of consuming such a drink daily.

However, remember that coffee with ginger and cinnamon can be a valuable addition, but it will not replace a balanced diet combined with regular physical activity. To maintain good condition, doctors recommend about 75 minutes of vigorous exercise weekly or 150 minutes of moderate physical activity. In building immunity, as well as during weight loss, regular sleep and stress reduction are important.
