Ukrainian drone strikes reach deep into Russian territory

On Sunday, a Ukrainian drone attacked an industrial facility in the Chuvash Republic, located about 1,290 kilometres from the Ukrainian border. The region's governor, Oleg Nikolayev, provided this information, as reported by the Reuters agency. This attack marks one of the most profound Ukrainian drone strikes into Russian territory.
Governor Nikolayev reported on Telegram that there were no casualties from the attack. However, he did not provide details on any potential damage caused by the drone.
Russia shoots down Ukrainian drones
Russian authorities reported that 88 Ukrainian drones were destroyed overnight. The Russian Ministry of Defence stated that 52 of them were shot down over the Belgorod region, 13 over the Lipetsk region, and nine over the Rostov region. The remaining drones were destroyed over the Voronezh, Astrakhan, Krasnodar, Ryazan, and Kursk regions.
The Russian aviation oversight organization Rosaviatsia announced on Telegram that, due to safety concerns, airports in Astrakhan, Nizhny Novgorod, and Kazan were closed for several hours overnight. This decision was taken to ensure safety in the face of threats from Ukrainian drones.
