Android Auto frequently encounters problems, particularly with voice control. The latest glitch involves the unusual reading of messages. Google Assistant appears to sigh at the end of each statement, a quirk users have noticed over the past few days. According to an analysis by the service 9to5Google, this issue seems exclusive to WhatsApp messages, as reported by users on Reddit in recent days.
It is difficult to identify what causes the problem or how it can be resolved. As is often the case with voice control issues, a potential solution might be forcing updates for Android Auto and the Google app. If these attempts do not work, drivers must exercise patience and await a server-side fix or the next Android Auto update (which is expected soon).
Fortunately, this glitch does not prevent users from responding to messages or understanding their content. It's worth recalling that years ago, there was a problem with misinterpreting message languages, which caused Google Assistant to babble incessantly, effectively hindering voice control of messages via Android Auto.
Regrettably, rectifying the error in that instance took a substantial amount of time, and drivers experiencing the described issue faced inconveniences for several weeks. There is hope that in this case, the problem will be resolved much more quickly. After all, this time, it doesn't render the application unusable, as occurred in 2020, several updates of Android Auto ago.
