Ghosn is undoubtedly one of the most notorious figures in the history of the automotive industry. The former Nissan chief, who has been evading the justice system for years, has lost another legal battle, resulting in the requirement to return "his" yacht.

Carlos Ghosn led Nissan for many years. He left, or rather vanished, amid a significant scandal involving serious allegations of embezzling millions of pounds.

Fearing the harsh conditions of a Japanese prison, Ghosn fled from Hokkaido, concealed in a double bass case. Hired services professionally planned and organised the entire operation. With their help, Ghosn escaped to Lebanon, where he has avoided accountability for years.

Legal proceedings in his case are still ongoing, bringing more resolutions. The latest verdict concerns, among other things, tangible goods purchased by Ghosn with Nissan's corporate funds.

According to the court, the former brand chief used shell companies to siphon millions from the company, then invested them in his own assets. One of these assets is the yacht Custom Line Navetta 37, which, by court order, is to be returned to Nissan.

This is how the Japanese brand attempts to recover at least a portion of the embezzled fortune. However, the battle is not easy and has been ongoing for years. The Japanese also, naturally, want the former chief punished for the crimes he is alleged to have committed. Considering, however, that Ghosn remains elusive, this certainly won't be easy.
