A few days ago, a video in the Ukrainian media showed a self-propelled howitzer, AHS Krab, speeding across a field at up to 76 km/h. It is the favourite weapon of the Ukrainian Armed Forces artillerymen.

The war in Ukraine has been ongoing for over two and a half years. During this time, hundreds, if not thousands, of pieces of Polish equipment, appeared on Ukrainian soil, which we enthusiastically handed over to the Ukrainian Armed Forces fighting against the Russian occupier, especially in the early days of the conflict.

The vast majority of the machines we delivered were Soviet-era equipment, but there were also modern and, most importantly, Polish-made vehicles like the Rosomak and Krab howitzers. The Ukrainian army also received many weapons, with the Piorun anti-aircraft missile system standing out in particular.

It's no wonder that, with such a large amount of equipment sent to Ukraine, we occasionally receive videos of its use on the battlefield. While every success of Polish equipment is heartening, the greatest satisfaction comes from the achievements of machines that are entirely domestic productions.

The Polish Krab races through Ukrainian fields

Ukrainians have fallen in love with our Krabs, who have repeatedly demonstrated their immense usefulness and effectiveness on the front lines. At one point, these Polish howitzers were even called the "nightmare of the occupiers."

A few days ago, another opportunity to marvel at the AHS Krab appeared. This time, it was thanks to a short video showing it speeding through a Ukrainian field.

You can even hear a child expressing surprise and enthusiasm at such an unusual sight in the recording. The video description tells us that the Polish machine accelerated to about 76 km/h, which is quite an achievement considering its weight and the conditions in which it operated.
