Emily (@emilycc) has been live streaming on Twitch uninterrupted for 1,104 days. The content creator hasn't stopped filming her life for the audience for just over three years. Her stream is on even when she sleeps or takes a shower. When someone subscribes to her channel or makes a donation, it adds time to her clock, extending the time she must keep streaming.

Subathons (or subscription marathons) are common events on Twitch. Streamers stay live for extended periods, aiming to gain as many new followers as possible. Emily's subathon is record-breaking. On 20th November, streamer Kai Cenat, currently the biggest star on the platform, joined her stream. He was astonished that she hadn't stopped streaming for over three years, even during holidays or on her own birthdays.
Emily's clock currently (20th November) shows she needs to stay on stream for another 31 days. After Kai Cenat connected with her stream and showcased the streamer to tens of thousands of people on his channel, that time will undoubtedly extend. The young woman plays games on her stream (currently "Call of Duty: Black Ops 6") and chats with viewers.
The streamer has a record number of subscribers
In the comments section of an Instagram video where Emily shared an update about her subathon, one user asked: "How do you deal with burnout? It's amazing." The streamer replied, "I am burnt out, but thank you so much. I'm addicted to caffeine and have nothing else to do." Emily currently has over 326,000 subscribers. She has surpassed the VTuber Ironmouse and even Kai Cenat.
On the streaming platform Twitch, popularity is measured in three ways. The first is the number of subscriptions, which refers to people who pay to interact with their favourite creators. Amazon Prime users (Twitch is owned by Jeff Bezos's company) have one free subscription available on Twitch each month. Twitch channels also have followers who watch without paying. Another important statistic is the number of people watching a particular stream. The record for this belongs to Spanish streamer Ibai Llanos, who at one point was watched live by 3.8 million people.
