- The shooter is dead - informed Butler County District Attorney Richard Goldinger. Shots were fired at Donald Trump's rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday. Trump hid behind the podium and was immediately surrounded by Secret Service agents who escorted him to a car. The photos show blood on the former president's face.

Butler County District Attorney, Richard Goldinger, said in a phone conversation with the AP agency that the suspected assailant is dead.

He also added that at least one attendee at the rally was killed.

Donald Trump was grazed by a bullet but is safe, while the attacker is dead - conveyed the journalist from the "Washington Post", also quoting Richard Goldinger.

"Butler county district attorney Richard Goldinger tells me Trump was grazed by gunfire but is safe. An audience member was killed and the shooter is dead. Another person is in serious condition" - wrote Meryl Kornfield on platform X.

Trump is safe

The video posted on the platform shows personnel carrying out the lifeless body of one of the spectators, who was standing a few yards behind the former president during Trump's speech in Butler.

The Secret Service stated that "the former president is safe." - With President Trump, everything is alright, and he is being examined at a local medical facility - said Donald Trump's campaign team in a statement.
