For easier preparation, consider making the patties slightly smaller or longer. Concerns about greasiness are unnecessary, as the patties are baked in the oven. The fat rendered from the bacon permeates the minced meat, adding tenderness and juiciness, effectively replacing the classic breadcrumb coating with a delicious and ingenious alternative.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb minced meat
  • 1 onion
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • 1 roll soaked in milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 clove of garlic (granulated or fresh, pressed)
  • 1 teaspoon marjoram
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 slices smoked bacon

Method of preparation:

  1. Chop the onion and fry in butter until translucent.
  2. Soak the roll in milk and squeeze out the excess liquid.
  3. Combine the minced meat, fried onion, egg, squeezed roll, mustard, garlic, marjoram, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix the filling thoroughly.
  4. Form 8 long patties from the prepared mixture.
  5. Wrap each patty with a slice of bacon, pressing gently to secure it.
  6. Place the patties on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake for about 30 minutes at 180°C.

For an even crispier crust, switch on the grill in the oven a few minutes before the end of baking. Serve the ready patties with your favourite side dishes. Enjoy your meal!
