Angelina Jolie promotes her new films, "Maria" and "Without Blood." Reviewers are delighted, and fans are in seventh heaven. Sometimes, however, they overstep the boundaries. One meeting got out of hand.

Angelina Jolie has a busy schedule. She is promoting the film "Without Blood", which she directed, and the production "Maria", about the singer Maria Callas. As you will read in our review: "'Maria' is a story about a prison full of the traumas of the past, expectations of oneself, and fears controlled primarily through medication. Maria Callas struggles with her weaknesses, her voice, which has become both her salvation and curse, and most importantly, her greatness. The real one, but also the one present in her mind."

Angelina Jolie's meeting with fans

Jolie first promoted "Maria" in Venice, receiving a standing ovation for several minutes. Then she went to the Toronto Film Festival to discuss "Without Blood". There was a moment to sign photos for fans. Although security guards were close to the star, one fan was so determined that she managed to throw herself at the actress. She immediately hugged her around the waist, which looked shocking at first glance. Jolie remained stoically calm.

The incident, which might have seemed alarming initially, ended with a touching exchange of gestures between the actress and the determined fan. Keeping her cool, Jolie responded to the fan's hug, giving her a moment to talk, after which security calmly escorted the girl away.

Let's add that the film "Maria" doesn't have a UK premiere date yet. The story of Maria Callas - as critics repeat - could be a contender for an Oscar. Meanwhile, "Without Blood" is an American war drama adapted from Alessandro Barico's book of the same title. The film stars Salma Hayek, Demián Bichir, and Juan Minujín. The film is set in a fairytale-like convention and depicts bloody events on a farm during an unspecified brutal war. It is said to be about revenge, trauma, and the horrors of war. The initial reactions to "Without Blood" are not very positive. "The Guardian" writes about painfully miscast roles, while "The Hollywood Reporter" points out that the film is shallow. This production also doesn't have a UK premiere date yet.
