Cutlets are a popular choice for dinner. However, even the best pork or minced cutlets can eventually become monotonous. At such times, I reach for the recipe for delicious chicken thigh cutlets. They are so tasty that everyone asks for seconds.

When I am unsure what to prepare for dinner, it's a sign that it's time for delicious chicken cutlets. You can use either fillets or thigh meat. The latter option tends to be juicier and more flavourful. More and more shops now offer deboned thigh meat, so you don't need to worry about deboning yourself. An interesting addition of vegetables will tempt even those who claim they are not very hungry.

Gyros cutlet - chicken dinner recipe

Instead of traditional cutlets, today I propose a light and aromatic alternative—chicken gyros cutlets. This dish will delight not only with its taste but also with its simplicity of preparation. Favourite vegetables, juicy meat, and a cheesy topping make a delicious dinner idea. It works great not only for everyday meals but also for more festive occasions.

  • 4 pieces of chicken thigh meat
  • 2 pickled cucumbers
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 yellow pepper
  • 250 grams of cheddar cheese
  • 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons of spicy ketchup
  • A pinch of salt
  • Favourite gyros seasoning
  • A bit of oil for frying

Preparation method:

  1. Gently pound the meat. Cut them across into two pieces if you use fillets instead of thighs.
  2. Sprinkle the meat with salt and gyros seasoning.
  3. Fry the meat on both sides in heated oil over medium heat until browned. This ensures the meat seals and remains perfectly juicy.
  4. Cut the cucumbers and peppers into small cubes.
  5. Add mayonnaise and ketchup to the vegetables and mix thoroughly.
  6. Place the fried meat in a baking tray lined with baking paper. Add a portion of the vegetable sauce to each piece of meat.
  7. Generously sprinkle everything with grated cheddar cheese.
  8. Bake in an oven preheated to 190°C for about 40 minutes. The cheese should melt beautifully, and the meat should be juicy and full of aroma.

Serve with your favourite side dishes, such as rice or chips. Enjoy your meal!
