Cupra logo found on cocaine packages washed ashore in Florida
Cupra has finally crossed the ocean, albeit in an unexpected form. The Spanish brand is unlikely to be pleased with this kind of "promotional campaign."
It's been known for some time that Cupra intends to enter the American market. The company will offer its models in selected states. Although the exact debut date is unknown, Cupra has already made headlines. This is all due to a discovery in Florida.
A few days ago, the ocean washed 55 mysterious packages with the Cupra logo ashore. It quickly turned out to be cocaine. The US Border Patrol valued the 30-kilogramme load at about £820,000.
Where the load came from or why it ended up on the ocean shore is unknown. What is certain, however, is that it was not sent from Martorell, and the Cupra logo is pure coincidence. Smugglers often use well-known trademarks to decorate drugs. This time, it just happened to be Cupra.
