Drone attack damages fuel depot and hangar at Russian base

As a result of the drone attack on the military airport in Millerovo in the Rostov region in western Russia, a hangar and a fuel depot were damaged, according to satellite images published on Sunday by the Ukrinform agency.

The attack on the military airport located in the Rostov region bordering Ukraine occurred on Saturday night. Satellite images taken after the attack show three impact sites.

"According to Wikimapia data, one strike hit a technical-exploitation hangar, another an open area, and the third of the fuel depots," the Ukrainian agency reported.

Damage, but no planes hit

Radio Free Europe noted that the satellite images confirm Russia's statement that the attack did not damage fighter planes.

The 31st Fighter Aviation Regiment of the Russian Aerospace Forces and the 1st Mixed Aviation Division are stationed at the Millerovo airport.
