Foggy skies and tragedy: Medical helicopter crash in Turkey

In Muğla, in southwestern Turkey, a medical rescue helicopter crashed on Sunday, resulting in the deaths of four people. This information was provided by the provincial governor, İdris Akbıyık.

The aircraft involved in the tragic accident in the southwestern Turkish city crashed into the fourth floor of a hospital. This occurred during the takeoff of the rescue helicopter.

The helicopter belonged to the Turkish Ministry of Health. It took off from in front of the hospital after 10:00 AM local time.

A rescue team was on board. All crew members—two pilots, a doctor, and a crew member—were killed.

The causes of the crash are currently being investigated. It is known, however, that at the time of takeoff, there was dense fog in the area, which may have affected the incident's course. The investigation into the accident continues.

According to the Reuters, based on a statement from the provincial governor, İdris Akbıyık, despite the impact with the hospital building, there was no serious damage inside. People inside were unharmed.
