Tea is one of the most popular beverages worldwide. It attracts with its unique taste and unparalleled health benefits. Precious is a brew prepared from green tea leaves, which, according to scientists, supports heart health and combats serious ailments.

Green tea is one of the most popular hot brews. Various studies have shown that it has a positive impact on our health. Chinese researchers from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, who analyzed 27 previous studies, also provide evidence of its beneficial effects.

Scientists leave no illusions. It's worth drinking green tea

According to the published report, regular consumption of green tea significantly lowers fasting blood glucose levels. Statistics obtained by scientists indicate this. The average blood glucose level is considered to be 5.6 mmol/L. Fluctuations between 5.6 and 6.9 mmol/L are signs of prediabetes, while a result exceeding 7.0 mmol/L indicates diabetes.

Chinese scientists found that green tea lowered fasting blood glucose by 0.08 mmol/L without significant heterogeneity. This is an excellent result.

Scientists also made another discovery. Specialists noticed that green tea does not significantly impact insulin levels, and glycated hemoglobin was measured while fasting.

Green tea has numerous health benefits

Green tea helps regulate blood sugar levels in the body and supports fat reduction. For this reason, nutritionists around the world recommend it to overweight and obese people. However, this is not the only health benefit of this brew. Thanks to catechins and polyphenols, green tea reduces the risk of cancer cell development, destroys free radicals, cleanses the body of toxins, improves skin condition, and helps protect against hypertension, heart attack, thrombosis, stroke, and coronary heart disease.

Significantly, a green tea brew also slows the development of senile dementia. The drink also alleviates depressive states and improves memory.
