Kinder Bueno-inspired crêpes: A sweet culinary delight
Sweet crêpes are a lovely idea for both a meal and an afternoon snack that people of all ages adore. Instead of filling them with jam or cottage cheese again, I opt for a different filling. Those with a sweet tooth will be in seventh heaven.
Some prefer raspberry jam, others mix cottage cheese with sugar and egg yolks, and there are fans of chocolate and banana combinations. However, my discovery is crêpes inspired by the iconic Kinder Bueno bar. No sweet lover can resist them.
Kinder Bueno crêpes
"Bueno" in Spanish means "good" and this perfectly encapsulates the taste of this dish. It's a dessert idea that brings the flavour of the popular chocolate bar to universally adored crêpes. The combination of delicate pancakes with a creamy, nutty filling reminiscent of the Kinder Bueno bar's interior is a sweet success.
The crêpe batter and filling can be enhanced with a splash of coffee liqueur or a tablespoon of strong espresso. However, if you wish to serve Bueno crêpes to children, simply use cocoa. The highlight is the delightful cream filling with cottage cheese, powdered milk, cream, and of course, ground hazelnuts. It’s worth toasting them beforehand to bring out their rich flavour and aroma. If you're fortunate enough to have hazelnut paste, be sure to add it to the mixture. You won’t regret it.
