Lukashenko heads to Moscow as Kremlin hails Trump move
According to reports from the Kremlin, Lukashenko is set to arrive in Moscow. He has declared his willingness to assist in the "process of settling the Ukrainian conflict."
Many of the reports provided by Russian and Belarusian media or the authorities' representatives are propaganda elements. Such reports are part of the Russian Federation's information warfare.
Putin's spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, noted that preparations are being made for Lukashenko's visit to Russia. According to him, Ukraine is discussed at every meeting between the Russian Federation and Belarus leaders.
Earlier, Lukashenko expressed his readiness to assist in settling the Ukrainian conflict.
The Kremlin reacts to Trump's decision
The Kremlin described Donald Trump's decision to suspend US military aid to Ukraine as the best contribution to the peace effort. Putin's press secretary stated that Russia needs to analyse the details of US President Donald Trump's decision.
- The normalisation of Russian-American relations should involve lifting them from the burden of sanctions - said Dmitry Peskov at a press briefing.
On Friday, the Russian news agency TASS reported that Putin signed a law ratifying an agreement with Belarus on security guarantees within the Union State.
As reported by the media, the document defines mutual obligations regarding defence, the protection of sovereignty, independence, and the constitutional order of Russia and Belarus, ensuring the integrity and inviolability of the territory and the external border of the Union State.
