Queue chaos after drone attack: Tankers jam Moscow refinery
An enormous queue of tankers waiting for loading has formed towards the Moscow refinery. The facility was attacked by drones at the beginning of September, resulting in a massive explosion.
The refinery in Moscow was targeted on the night of 1 September. Consequently, a massive explosion at the facility affected the refinery's operations; according to local channels on Telegram, a huge traffic jam of tankers waiting for loading reportedly formed in Moscow from 10 to 11 September.
The Russians did not report any damage to the facility or production delays caused by the strike. However, published photos online may suggest that the refinery has not yet been restored to its pre-attack state.
Drone attack on Moscow
Moscow also became the target of a drone attack in the night from Monday to Tuesday. Following the strike, airports including Vnukovo, Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo, and Zhukovsky were closed. Debris from a downed drone fell onto the runway at Zhukovsky Airport.
Drones also struck two skyscrapers in the city of Ramenskoye near Moscow. One person reportedly lost their life as a result of the attack, according to Russian authorities.
Ukraine continues its attacks on other targets located on Russian territory. According to reports from Axios, the White House has decided to lift restrictions on the use of ATACMS missiles for attacks on Russian territory, as Secretary of State Antony Blinken reportedly announced in Kyiv on Wednesday.
