A shocking video has been published on Russian and Ukrainian social media. According to reports, the film shows a destroyed Russian military column in the village of Oktiabrskoe near Rylsk in the Kursk region, which Ukrainian forces are approaching.

The video, published among others by the Astra channel, lasts one and a half minutes. In the film, we mainly see trucks used to transport soldiers. Most of them are burned, and bodies are visible on the beds. Some trucks do not appear to be destroyed - however, on their beds, the bodies of dozens of soldiers are also visible.

Trucks filled with soldiers' bodies

There are 15 such vehicles on a short stretch of road. Most have soldiers' bodies - some are burned. Due to the graphic nature of the video, we have decided not to publish it.

According to Astra, the convoy of the Russian Armed Forces was destroyed during the night from Thursday to Friday. There is no official confirmation of this information. The only proof that it is a Russian column is the "Z" marks on the vehicles. The Russians have used this symbol since the beginning of the war in Ukraine.

"The bloodiest and most massive shelling"

According to military analyst Yan Matveev, quoted by Agenstwo.Nowosti, the entire battalion was destroyed. "This is one of the bloodiest and most massive shellings (most likely HIMARS) of the entire war", he writes.

Ukrainians may have known about the upcoming column

The Brief channel claims that the day before, Russian military channels reported on the reinforcement deployment to the Kursk region, specifically on the arrival of the Donetsk battalion "Piatnashka". "It turns out that the Ukrainians also read these channels and were ready for the arrival of the enemy reinforcements" - we read.

According to Nexta channel, which thoroughly analysed the video, the Russians may have lost between 200 to 490 soldiers in this attack. "This may be one of the largest single losses of the Russian army since the start of the full-scale war", we read.

These soldiers, among whom there may be conscripts, were most likely sent to halt the Ukrainian offensive in the Kursk region.
