The destructive force of the water has deprived many people of their livelihoods. Residents of areas affected by the flood receive messages of support worldwide. Moving words from King Charles III were published on the official profiles of the royal family.

Flood waves, which have affected 11 countries in Central Europe, devastate everything in their path. In many places, river water levels have exceeded the alert state, breaking records set during the Millennium Flood 1997. Thousands of people are managing without access to gas and electricity and, to make matters worse, without the ability to contact their loved ones. Many have lost everything they worked for their entire lives.

Relevant services and organisations, including the police and the military, are involved in repairing the damage and helping the people most affected by the destructive element. There is also no shortage of well-meaning people eager to help by organising collections for those in need. Although it seems daunting, mobilised Europeans are fighting with all possible means for a swift return to lost normality. In their most difficult moments, messages of support are pouring in from all over the world.

King Charles III spoke out after the tragic floods

Media worldwide are broadcasting reports from areas where flood waves are causing the greatest devastation. Representatives of the British royal family are also concerned about last week's events. As the head of state, King Charles III felt obligated to present an official statement on behalf of himself and Queen Camilla.

My wife and I are profoundly shocked and saddened to see the destruction and devastation caused by the catastrophic flooding in central Europe. Many people in the United Kingdom have strong, enduring and personal ties to the region and, together with them, my wife and I send our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to all those who have so tragically lost their loved ones, their homes and their livelihoods, read the message on the royal family’s profile.

The British monarch emphasised the enormous contributions that service workers have made in saving lives and properties.

We have immense admiration for the sheer courage and dedication of the emergency services across the region who have clearly worked relentlessly to provide desperately-needed support, relief and assistance to the countless people whose lives and properties have been dreadfully disrupted, added King Charles.

Under the message addressed to all residents of Central Europe. Many thanked the royal couple for this solidarity, mentioning the tragic situation, especially for those who suddenly lost the roof over their heads.
